Job Description:
Perform feasibility studies, planning, structural inspections, structural design, permitting, bidding, and construction inspection of a variety of waterfront and heavy industrial structures. The position offers exposure to complete engineering of projects from concept to completion. Learn and contribute towards the design of steel structures, concrete structures, timber structures, shallow foundations, and deep foundations. Gain experience in performing above and below water (using divers) structural inspection of heavy industrial steel and concrete structures. The position also requires performing construction inspection services in field and provides the satisfaction of seeing your designed structures being built.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on structural and geotechnical engineering coursework. Masters’ Degree or experience in structural design will be preferred. Knowledge of the latest AISC, ACI and ASCE Codes and Standards and familiarity with STAAD-Pro V8i and AutoCAD software will be preferred. Candidate must be eager to learn and willing to dedicate time to understand the unique nature of complex structural and geo-structural design and construction projects. Attitude to produce the highest quality of work product is a must. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment with a group of talented and experienced engineers and designers to maintain and constantly improve high standards of design, drawings, and technical specifications
