NASA Mechanical Rover Team Callout Wed. Sept. 15 at 7pm

Hello,

You are invited to attend the Purdue NASA Mechanical Rover Team’s callout on Wednesday, September 15th at 7:00pm in ARMS B071. We will be serving food.

Every year, we build a human-powered, interplanetary, fully mechanical rover, which we then take to competition at NASA in Huntsville, Alabama. By joining this team, you will gain valuable experience in design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing. During the fall semester, we dedicate time to design and optimization, where you can perfect your Solidworks skills. In the latter half of the fall and beginning of the spring semesters, we spend much of our time in Bechtel constructing the vehicle for competition. Examples of some of the skills our members have picked up include welding, machining, and CAM development.

This is a dynamic project that gives you the opportunity to gain valuable engineering experience. We hope to see you at our callout, and look forward to placing you on one of our five subteams!

We are excited to meet you.

Sincerely,

Naomi Frank
