Construction Administration Technician

ARSEE Engineers is a structural design and building envelope engineering consulting firm in Fishers, Indiana with over 50 years of service in the industry. We are currently seeking highly motivated candidates to immediately fill an open position for a construction administration technician. Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week


Salary: Position pays based upon an hourly rate with 1.5x for approved overtime. The hourly rate will be based upon an applicant’s qualifications, experience and skillset.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare written construction coordination meeting agendas and reports, field reports, and perform on-site observations to document the construction work in progress.
  • Work time will be divided between the office and traveling to project locations for meetings and job site visits.
  • Work on a variety of projects types and with a variety of clients on a consistent basis.
  • Review contractor submittals such as product data, payment applications, and close-out documents.
  • Work directly and have regular communication with ARSEE project managers for each respective project.
  • Work directly with clients and contractors during the bidding and construction phases of each project.
  • Perform on-site field work during the design and construction phases of each project, some of which may require the use of aerial access equipment.
  • Willingness to be challenged with diverse project types.


Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings for building type projects.
  • Familiarization with the following construction materials and details is highly valued:

o   Structural steel, concrete, masonry, wood

o   Repair products for various masonry, concrete, and sealant materials

o   Waterproofing, façade, and roofing systems

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a construction-related field.
  • Be organized, can efficiently prioritize work items, and be timely in all deliverables.
  • Have a demonstrated attention for detail, especially as it relates to performing on-site construction observations and documentation of those observations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu is highly valued.
  • Experience in AutoCAD or Revit is highly valued.
  • US citizenship and a valid US driver's license is required.
