Description
This position affords the opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex structures and support systems employed in the industries we serve. Applicants can expect to work on various storage structures which have challenging and unique structural, mechanical, and thermal requirements.
> Design and analyze steel plate structures for the oil and gas, power, water and wastewater, and metals and mining industries. The types of storage structures include, but are not limited to, atmospheric and ambient temperature flat bottomed cylindrical tanks, low temperature and cryogenic flat bottomed cylindrical tanks, pressure spheres, and a variety of elevated storage structures.
> Provide engineering design of structural support systems, platforms, and stairways.
> Provide engineering design of tank insulation systems.
> Collaborate with designers, modelers and engineers, as well as personnel from sales, estimating, procurement, operations and project management functions.
> Utilize structural design codes such as AISC, ASCE, IBC as well as tank and pressure vessel industry codes such as ASME Section VIII, API 620, API 625, and API 650 to design plate and shell structures and their associated support systems.

Qualifications
> Minimum BS in Civil Engineering or other related degree.
> Basic familiarity with AISC, ASCE, IBC and associated structural and seismic codes is required.
> Professional Engineering license in at least one state is required upon achieving required work experience.
> Basic familiarity with AISC, ASCE, IBC and associated structural and seismic codes is required.
> Professional Engineering license in at least one state is required upon achieving required work experience.
