Entry Level Structural Engineer
Responsibilities
- Work closely on construction plans with Senior Engineers.
- Attends meetings with clients, architects and other engineering professionals.
- Performing structural design and analysis calculations
- Generating drawings utilizing Revit platform.
- Calculate loads and stresses on different parts of a structure.
- Work collaboratively with multi-discipline engineering teams.
- Become a complementary member of our team as a whole, and on a project-by-project basis.
- Work on several projects at one time.
- Perform construction administration (checking shop drawings, answer requests for information, etc.)
- Coordinate construction drawings with other disciplines
Course Work:
- Structural Steel
- Reinforcement Concrete
- Prestressed Concrete
- Finite Element analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree from an ABET accredited institution. A Master’s Degree with Structural Engineering emphasis preferred
- EIT certification (or ability to achieve within 1 year)
- Strong team player. Ability to work in a dynamic team setting
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Highly organized, detail-driven and conscientious
- Willingness to learn about other areas as it relates to total project: structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural and site requirements.
