Purdue Marketing and Media is seeking students to serve as Ambassadors for the Protect Purdue initiative, supporting efforts in social media, campus events, community outreach and community organizing. Those selected will serve as Protect Purdue Student Ambassadors for the duration of the Fall 2020 semester. The Ambassador position will be paid $8/hour and earn students consulting experience for their résumé. Protect Purdue Ambassadors

Based on skill set and interests, responsibilities may include:  
·         Social Media Execution and Content Creation: Content curation, including Instagram takeovers; Video content from campus events  
·         Video and Vlogging: Creating video content to showcase Protect Purdue and support Protect Purdue initiatives  
·         Organizing and executing events: Hosting tables, virtual and outdoor events  
·         Community outreach: Serve as a liaison with the community by generating off-campus business partnerships and distributing collateral  
·         Community organizing: Serving as a delegate to student organizations, Purdue representative in community events, etc.  
·         Other duties as assigned that help promote the new Purdue experience 

Successful applicants will be current Purdue students at the West Lafayette campus by Fall 2020. They should have an interest or experience in one of the above listed categories. They will also exhibit the following:  
·         Energetic and enthusiastic about Purdue. 
·         Willing to ignite and educate our community about how to keep Purdue safe. 
·         Self-starter, intrinsically motivated. 
·         Inspires and encourages peers. 
·         Difference maker. 
·         Aligned with the Protect Purdue Pledge.
