Geocomp’s Product Division designs and manufactures highly versatile automated geotechnical testing systems that have been successfully used for more than thirty-five years for production, teaching and research. Geocomp’s strong reputation for providing and supporting highly reliable automated testing stations helps drive our sales worldwide. Our customers include universities, governmental agencies, contractors and engineering firms. Other divisions at Geocomp provide real-time web-based monitoring of the performance of infrastructure, geostructural consulting and design services and commercial laboratory testing of soils and rocks.

Geocomp is seeking Software Engineers for our Products Division which makes automated systems to measure the mechanical properties of soil and rock and data loggers for remote monitoring of infrastructure. Engineers with training and experience in software design and product development are needed to join our team of highly skilled engineers and programmers in our Acton, MA headquarters.  This is a fast-paced product and project development environment. The ideal candidate will jump in with hands-on software development, testing and debugging experience.

Our needs are for engineers who can help in some of the following areas:

• Design, program and document software for embedded control systems in our products
• Develop user interfaces for successful and satisfying customer experiences
• Perform testing and qualifications of software and hardware systems
• Perform software verification and validation testing
• Ensure designs implement proper technologies and techniques
• Document and communicate on-going work and design changes
• Coordinate testing of software systems with the end-user and other project team members
• Work within development teams of interdisciplinary engineers
