Materials Service Testing seeking Materials Engineer

Materials Service Testing is looking to interview candidates for a Materials Engineer position, set to begin on January 2, 2019. 

The position has the following requirements: 

• Must have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Construction Materials.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for Illinois government employment.
• Must complete applicable ISTHA (Illinois Tollway) material certifications within agreed timeframe or as directed by the client.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from employment location.
• May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period.

I have attached a description of services that will be included with this position. 

Materials Engineering Services are required to perform special technical services; Independent Assurance (IA) responsibilities for Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) production/construction, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) production/construction and pipe and precast producers; technical lab services for concrete mix design and analysis; sampling and testing of aggregate sources for Tollway certification; Materials Engineering Support; and Quality Assurance (QA) inspection of steel and aluminum fabrication, and Prestressed/Precast fabrication. 

This person will be employed at or near the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority located at 2700 Ogden Avenue, Downers Grove, Illinois.
