Staff Engineer Needed - Gurnee, IL

We are searching for a staff engineer at our Gurnee, Illinois office.  This office performs both construction materials testing and geotechnical services for a variety of commercial, residential and public projects in the northern Chicago suburbs and southern Wisconsin.  You will be working under the direction of an experienced professional engineer and helping manage the day to day operations of the office.

Duties include:

1) Preparation of summary reports for field and laboratory testing

2) Construction materials and soil laboratory testing

3) Performing and/or observing field and laboratory testing

4) Laying out boring/core locations

5) Scheduling field technician

6) Keeping track of invoicing/budgets on projects

Future Duties include:

1) Preparing proposals/budgets for future project

2) Managing new projects

3) Writing geotechnical reports

4) Troubleshooting site problems

5) Providing recommendations/advice to field technicians and/or clients
