Technical Internship - Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute
The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) is accepting applications from students enrolled in structural, architectural, or civil engineering programs for a full-time paid internship to assist PCI staff with important technical projects. This individual will work with the PCI Technical Services team to support the extensive technical workload and will gain a unique experience advancing the institute’s body of knowledge.
Expected responsibilities will include:
- Preparing engineering calculations for publications
- Assisting in review and response to technical inquiries
- Drafting figures and models for various publications
- Preparing presentations with educational content
Qualified applicants are expected to be through their third year or later of bachelor’s degree curriculum and will have completed at least one course in reinforced concrete design, with prior coursework in prestressed concrete a plus. Students between bachelor’s and master’s degree programs will be considered but should be planning to continue with their education full time after their internship to be considered.
This position will support staff at PCI headquarters in Chicago, IL; however, highly qualified remote location candidates will be considered and will not need to move.
